Testimonials
I was so grateful for Cristina's calm, focused support for my writing process. She contributed greatly to the completion of my second book, "The Your Resonant Self Workbook," currently in the publishing process with W.W. Norton. ~ Sarah Peyton, author of Your Resonant Self: Guided Meditations and Exercises to Engage Your Brain's Capacity for Healing, W.W. Norton, 2017; https://empathybrain.com.

When I first met Cristina, I was transitioning from a scientific analytic/business career to a full-time graduate student in philosophy and theology. I was concerned about my lack of prior training in writing in the humanities field. Within a wide range of coursework such as Biblical Studies, Buddhism, Philosophy, and Theology, I faced a variety of writing assignments, sometimes on a weekly basis. Cristina helped me to develop my skills in writing from simpler pieces to more complex ones. Given her extensive academic background, she was able to provide content-rich feedback to my drafts which invariably improved them significantly. She has a very good sense of the authorial voice that I am trying to develop, so she often gives me suggestions that makes my written voice clearer and more cogent. She is timely and efficient in turning around her edits, and unfailingly generous with her help. I consider her an excellent coach, editor, and trusted friend. ~ Qi Zeng, Doctor of Science, MA (philosophy), MA (theology), PhD theology student (Boston College, MA).

Cristina's meticulous eye and sensitivity made my novel "The Vestige of Silence" more fluid and stronger both in its language and essence. She really understood my authorial passion and helped me sustain my creative decisions without compromising anything. She was always very straightforward and assertive, making me question important things and suggesting different solutions. ~ Jorge Yacoman, https://thisiswriting.com/jorge-yacoman/; https://www.facebook.com/jyacoman.

I didn’t realize how much I needed a writing mentor and developmental editor, and specifically Cristina, until I worked with her.  Her support, care and enthusiasm made it possible for me to tackle a project that had scared me for far too long.  I ended up starting and finishing a solid draft within 6 hours of talking with Cristina. ~
Heather Jensen, Conscious Politics, www.heatherjensen.com.

Cristina's skillful encouragement and review of my writing was essential in the completion of my doctoral dissertation in Art and Religion. We set up a chapter and sub-chapter delivery schedule and although I did not always stick to my schedule, knowing that the section was waiting for her thoughtful review was encouraging and kept me on track. She made suggestions as to chapter structure that very much improved the narrative as well. I strongly recommend Cristina if you are in the throes of trying to complete a dissertation in the humanities. She's tops! ~ Dr. Holly Mitchem, Mitchem Arts, www.mitchem-arts.com.

Dr. Cristina Olsen was my writing mentor and editor for the PhD dissertation "Spirituality of Beauty in the Art of Artemisia Gentileschi and Elisabetta Sirani." Cristina's comments on my work were articulate, thorough, and straightforward. She gave the task her all because she knew how important the finished document was to me. I recommend Cristina for all work that includes writing, mentorship, and editing. ~ Dr. April Rene Lynch, Academic Editor, www.linkedin.com/in/april-renee-lynch-ph-d-83484029/

I highly recommend Dr. Cristina Olsen as a Certified Professional Writing Mentor and Editor. Cristina's breadth of professional experiences in the academic world, as a published author, in nonprofit management and fundraising, and working and teaching abroad in multicultural and multilingual settings, informs every aspect of her professionalism. She has a deep understanding of the challenges executives and organizational leaders face when straddling multiple commitments. Endowed with a great sense of humor and imagination, Cristina is also an enjoyable person with whom to brainstorm and challenges her clients to make clear, powerful decisions that get translated into equally clear written statements.
